African Union¡¯s (AU) summit opens
Kofi Annan, Secretary General of the United Nations, addresses the opening ceremony of the third African Union¡¯s (AU) summit in Addis Ababa, capital of Ethiopia. African leaders began their three-day session on Tuesday, with security issues topping the agenda. An ambitious plan for Africa's development and regional integration was proposed by the AU for adoption at the summit.

HK students to receive national education course in Beijing
Chief Executive Tung Chee Hwa talked to HK students who will have national education course in Beijing on July 6th. A total of 160 students attended the flag presentation ceremony of the "Award Scheme for Hong Kong Student Leaders: National Education Course" at Government House.The 11-day national education course will highlight current developments in mainland and allow the students to share experiences and interact with the mainland students.
