BFA secretary general advises not to overestimate antidumping losses

Although China's exportation has encountered many antidumping cases after the World Trade Organization accession, their negative impact should not be overestimated, said Long Yongtu, secretary general of the Boao Forum for Asia (BFA) in Chongqing Tuesday.

Last year China's export volume exceeded 400 billion US dollars, only 2.2 billion US dollars of which was involved in antidumping cases, accounting for about 0.5 percent of total exports, Long said in an address on a CEO Forum presided by New York-based Business Week.

Antidumping cases are normal phenomena in international trade, but every enterprise should still pay high attention to the problem, he said.
