font size

The Chinese government will make more efforts to attract overseas Chinese to begin their careers in China, according to a State Council executive meeting chaired by Premier Wen Jiabao Wednesday.

The Communist Party of China and the State Council always attach great importance to the work concerning overseas Chinese, and in recent years the Chinese government has enhanced links with overseas Chinese, according to the meeting.

The meeting called on governments at all levels to improve policies concerning overseas Chinese, enhance Chinese-language education, encourage more overseas Chinese to come back, improve returnees' living conditions and let overseas Chinese play a unique role in pushing forward the peaceful reunification of the motherland.
