Guangdong invests heavily in developing human resources

South China's Guangdong Province will spend 30 million yuan (about 3.6 million US dollars) every year beginning this year in human resource nurturing projects, sources said.

According to the plan of the provincial educational department,Guangdong would have 4.46 million technological specialists by 2007, which required an annual growth of 380,000.

Six human resource nurturing projects will be launched and given special financial support for training specialists in politics, business, science and technology, and agriculture.

Besides, Guangdong will make favorable policies to attract returned students with foreign education background and plans to organize a commission abroad to import the overseas specialists.
