Consumer confidence index down slightly in JuneChina National Statistics Bureau said in a bulletin on July 7 that in June consumer confidence stood at 90.1 points, remaining at a high level but down 5.3 points from March. Index indicating how satisfactory the economic operation is to customers also declined to 92.2 points in June from 96.3 points in March. Statistics experts think this mainly represented consumers' expectation on the timing of buying durables and automobiles. In June the outlook of consumers on economic prospect was not as bright as that in March. The figure was 88.7 points, compared with 94.1 points in March. Experts analyzed that this showed consumers' concern on some uncertainties in the economic development. By People's Daily Online |
