US military denies spy plane crash

The US military in South Korea denied on Friday an earlier report that an American U-2 spy planes had crashed.

"No US plane has crashed...All US military equipment has been accounted for," Yonhap News Agency quoted Lt. Col. Debora Bertrand as saying.

Yonhap news agency reported earlier that the American U-2 plane went down on Friday morning near Hwaseong, 60 km south of Seoul.

Hwaseong is near the main US air base in Osan.
