Lehman Brothers gain QFII license

China Securities Regulatory Commission has granted Lehman Brothers International (Europe) status of Qualified Foreign Institutional Investors (QFII), Security Times reports. So far 16 foreign institutions have gained QFII license in China. Their total investment in China reaches 1.775 bln USDs.

The Lehman Brothers International (Europe) is the fourth foreign institution to get QFII license from China Securities Regulatory Commission this year. The other three institutions are Merrill Lynch International Inc., Hang Seng Bank and Daiwa Securities SMBC.
