The 2004 China International TireExposition (CITEXPO) will be held from Sept. 24 to 26 in the Shanghai East Asia Exhibition Hall, organizers said Monday.

Prompted by China's fast growing automobile market, more than 100 enterprises have registered for participation in the exposition, currently the only international tire show in China, said He Shaolin, an executive of the Beijing HaiFu International Exposition Co., Ltd. which sponsors the event.

The first CITEXPO, held in December 2003 in Shanghai, attractedbusinessmen and professional visitors from the United States, Britain, Russia, Canada, and other countries as well as China.
