Policy-oriented bank supports shipping, power enterprises

The Import and Export Bank of China, one of China's three policy-oriented banks established in 1994, will grant more loans to enterprises involved in shipping, whole-set equipment, telecommunications, energy and power for support of their exports and overseas investment, said its sources on Monday.

In the first six months this year, the bank granted loans worth 40.6 billion yuan (about 4.9 billion US dollars) for supportof exports, overseas contracted projects and investment in foreignland, up 34 percent year on year.
