Chinese Foreign Minister Li Zhaoxing talked by phone with Sudanese Minister of External Relations Mustafa Ismail Tuesday.

During the phone conversation, Ismail briefed Li on Sudan's domestic situation. Li said that China has noticed the efforts made by the Sudanese government to ease tensions in relevant region.

China hopes Sudan to continue take effective measures and strengthen coordination with the United Nations, the African Union and the League of Arab States to bring stability to the region as soon as possible, Li said.

The two ministers agreed to maintain and strengthen consultation and cooperation on international and regional issues.
