China will, as always, uphold the friendly policy towards Myanmar and further promote the China-Myanmar ties, Wu Bangguo, chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, said in Beijing Tuesday.

While meeting with visiting Myanmar Prime Minister Khin Nyunt, Wu spoke positively of the China-Myanmar ties, and said China always attaches great importance on developing good-neighborly cooperation with Myanmar and no problems are hanged in doubt between the two countries.

Cementing traditional friendship and deepening mutually beneficial cooperation accord with the interests of the two peoples, and are conducive to regional peace and stability, Wu said.

China and Myanmar both face the common task of developing economy and improving the people's living standard, Wu said , adding that the two countries can strengthen exchanges and learn from each other.

Wu expressed his belief that the Myanmar people will conquer difficulties and build a more beautiful country.

Khin Nyunt, who arrived here Sunday for a seven-day official goodwill visit at the invitation of Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao, said Myanmar also attaches great importance on cooperation with China, and he hoped to learn from China's experience through this visit.

He said he was confident that the Myanmar-China cooperation will be pushed to a new high with the two countries' joint efforts.
