Arafat: no contact with Israeli military personnel
font size

Palestinian Leader Yasser Arafat has issued instructions that Palestinian officials should not make any contact with the Israeli military in the West Bank and Gaza Strip.

Various commentators have voiced the opinion that this move aims to prevent Palestinian and Israeli officials from reaching agreement on the subject of the partition wall currently being built. CRIENGLISH.com reported Wednesday.

Since the Israeli forces began controlling the West Bank, local Palestinian officials have always kept contact with the Israeli military.

It has also been reported that senior Palestinian officials have similarly issued this no contact order.
