Chinese Hong Kong had a clean sweep of seven gold medals at an international table tennis tournament named Golden Racket which concluded on Sunday in Ho Chi Minh City.
Hong Kong penholder Li Ching downed teammate Ko Lai Chak 4-0 for the men's singles gold and Tie Ya Na beat Song Ah Sim 4-0 in the women's singles final, raising the team's medal count to 13, including seven gold, three silver and three bronze.
Li Ching played a spectacular attacking game to subdue Ko 11-8, 11-8, 13-11, 11-7.
Tie Ya Na won a record four gold medals from the women's singles, women's doubles, mixed doubles and women's team. Her compatriot Cheung Yuk gained three gold in the men's doubles, mixed doubles and men's team.
China's Guangdong finished second at the tournament with three silver, followed by South Korea with one silver and five bronze.
Tran Tuan Quynh and Nguyen Nam Hai took Vietnam's only medal after finishing third in the men's doubles.
The Golden Racket Tournament, held on July 14-18, was attended by China's Guangdong, Chinese Hong Kong, South Korea, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore and hosts Vietnam.
