A national fair of forestry products will be held from Sept. 19 to 25 in Heze, in east China's Shangdong Province.

Jointly sponsored by the State Forestry Administration and the Shangdong provincial government, the fair will provide 40,000 square meters of exhibition area for forest products and related technology and equipment, including woodwork, flowers, agricultural products for forest regions, bamboo and vine productsand forestry machines.

More than 100,000 people from China and other countries are expected to attend the fair, an annual event planned held each September, the organizers said.

Besides the exhibition, the fair also includes trade talks, unveiling of a national forest product trading center and an electronic-commerce platform for the trading of forestry products.

With a total wood stock of 15 million cubic meters, Heze is oneof China's major forestry product suppliers and exporters.

China ranks the third in the world in imports of forestry products.
