Hong Kong Police have neutralized two street-level drug trafficking syndicates active in Sha Tin, arresting nine men and a woman.

According to a government press release Tuesday, after more than two months' investigation, 12 locations were raided Tuesday, mainly Sha Tin residences.

About 103 grams of suspected No.4 heroin and 52 tablets of suspected midazolam were seized. The heroin has a market value of about 36,000 HK dollars (4,615 US dollars).

A quantity of weapons, including sharpened water pipes and kitchen knives, were also found.

The suspects, aged 25 to 64, were arrested for trafficking dangerous drugs. They are being detained for inquiries.
