David Beckham said Friday that he didn't consider leaving Real Madrid though in his first year there the Spanish club did not win any title.
The English soccer star added that he wished to win all the championships at stake of the coming season.
Assisted by an interpreter - although he understood all the questions made to him in Spanish - Beckham only spoke once in that language which is hard for him to learn, and blushingly he apologized saying "my Spanish is a little better. Although it is difficult, I am learning it."
Then he analyzed the situation of Real. The team "cannot allow itself having another season like the previous one."
He also thanked the tokens of sympathy from the fans and promised his team will win titles.
He praised Vieira and his new coach, Jose Camacho and affirmed he was happy about the tough training sessions.
"I took the decision to come to Real Madrid and I have not regretted so. The first six months here I played better than in my whole career, but not the rest of the year. That's when rumors of me wanting to leave for England came.
"Real is an enormous club and I have never thought about leaving. Although we did not win anything, I have had a good time with the great public we have here," he said.
