The Ministry of Public Security's report for the first half year shows that the Administration of Entry and Exit Inspection recorded 120 million people entering or leaving the country.

Neary 14.8 million of them were foreigners, an increase of 59 percent over the same period last year, when SARS severely affected tourism and business travel.

The numbers for the mainland, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan residents also increased.
