CMC chairman stresses information technology
Jiang Zemin, chairman of Central Military Commission (CMC), called on Chinese military forces to be equipped with information technology for the strategic goal of winning information warfare.

Jiang made the call Monday when meeting with delegates attending a seminar on studying the important thought of "Three Represents", which was held by the armed forces.

Hu Jintao, Guo Boxiong, and Cao Gangchuan, three CMC vice chairmen, attended the meeting.

The important thought of "Three Represents" says that the Communist Party of China (CPC) always represents the trend of development of advanced productive forces and culture in China, and the fundamental interests of the overwhelming majority of the Chinese people.

"In recent years, the military forces have made remarkable progress in studying the 'Three Represents' thought, and accumulated lots of experience," Jiang said, stressing that the military forces are under the absolute leadership of the CPC.
