| Disaster relief work underway in Yunnan |
|

Floods and mud-rock flows struck Yingjiang County twice, on July 5 and July 20, respectively. The latter disaster left 12 people dead and 48 missing, affecting 70,000 people in 21 towns, and causing a direct economic loss of 157 million RMB (18.9 million US dollars). Now the residents in the disaster-hit areas are making efforts to resume normal life.
