17.6 billion USD textiles shipped from Shanghai port for the first half

Statistics of Shanghai Customs shows that Shanghai port shipped 17.6 billion worth of export of textile products and apparels for the first half of the year. That was a quarter of the total exports from this port and 35 percent higher, or 3.5 billion USD more than the same period of last year.

From January to June, Shanghai port delivered 10.1 billion USD of textiles and apparels to Japan, EU and US, up 17 percent over the same period of last year. Among it, 4.3 billion USD was shipped to Japan, up 16 percent, 3 billion USD to EU, up 12 percent and 2.8 billion USD to US, up 25 percent over the same period of last year.

Most of the exports of textiles and apparels were under general trade in Shanghai port.
