font size

Chinese and Pakistani senior officials agreed here Tuesday to further cooperation and exchanges among media.

China and Pakistan are close friends and they enjoyed sound cooperation in politics, economy and culture, Liu Yunshan, member of the Political Bureau and Secretariat of the CPC Central Committee, said in a meeting with Pakistan's Information and Broadcasting Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmad.

The cooperation between the media organizations of the two countries will undoubtedly improve mutual understanding between the two peoples and push forward the all-round cooperative relations between China and Pakistan, said Liu, who is also head of the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee.

Ahmad said media organizations of China and Pakistan enjoyed friendly relations. "I hope my visit will further improve bilateral cooperation between them, especially in the fields of electronic media and movie production," he said.

Ahmad was here in China at the invitation of the Information Office of China's State Council.
