A robust growth of HK imports and exports value in June

The value of Hong Kong's imports and exports jumped aggressively in June. Exports in June were worth 168.3 billion HK dollars, up 18.2 percent over last June. Transit export reached 157.2 billion HK dollars, rising 19 percent over last June. Hong Kong was the place of origin for 11.1 billion HK dollars of exports, 7.7 percent higher than the same month of last year.

Hong Kong imported 177.8 billion HK dollars worth of goods in June, an increase of 21.5 percent over the same month of last year.

Hong Kong delivered goods to the Chinese mainland, Japan, Malaysia and Thailand with a faster pace in June. Sharp expansion of its exports to other east Asian markets continued. Its shipment to EU countries was still gathering momentum. And its sales to US market geared up steadily.
