China encourages video, visual products exports

The government encourages local manufacturers and individuals to export video and visual products in order to help Chinese culture go abroad.

The Ministry of Culture, the Ministry of Commerce and the General Administration of Customs have reached an agreement to establish a meeting and exchange information on the exports of video and visual products.

All those who are engaged in the export have to register with the Ministry of Commerce or other relevant departments entrusted by the ministry. Those who want authorize overseas companies or individuals to use their copyrights also have to be registered with the Ministry of Culture video and visual products examinationoffice.

The exporters are also encouraged to export video and visual products that have been translated into English or other foreign languages.

The Ministry of Culture plans to set up a special fund to encourage the exports.
