Russia's North-South international railway route opened

A North-South international railway route was opened on Wednesday.

The last section from the station of Yandaki to the port of Olya on the Caspian Sea coast began working on the day.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Fradkov said the international railway route would allow Russia to develop cooperation with countries of Central Asia, the Persian Gulf, India and Pakistan.
