China is expected to surpass the United States and become the second-biggest exporter of goods to South Korea this year, the central bank said Thursday.

According to the Bank of Korea (BOK), Chinese goods accounted for 12.4 percent of the local import market as of May 2004, slightly behind those of the U.S., which were 12.6 percent of the total.
