font size

Trade promotion organizations from China's mainland and Macao clinched a liaison mechanism in an agreement signed Friday, vowing to engage in an effective and high-level cooperation.

Representatives from the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, the China Chamber of International Commerce, the Macao Chamber of Commerce, the Macao Trade and Investment Promotion Institute as well as a number of trade and commerce organizations in Macao signed the deal, in which they plan to set up a joint committee for sharing consultation and backup.

The deal is a materialization of an all-round cooperation engagement between China's mainland and Macao after the enacting of the Mainland/Macao Closer Economic Partnership Arrangement (CEPA) and the signing of the Framework Agreement on Regional Cooperation in the Pan-Pearl River Delta (PPRD), said Hoi Sai Yun,director general of the Macao Chamber of Commerce.

"Through the cooperation mechanism, the semi-governmental and non-governmental trade and commerce organizations will join the effort in fueling the PPRD cooperation," he said.
