Uzbekistan has set up a government committee headed by President Islam Karimov to fully investigate the explosions which occurred Friday in the country's capital of Tashkent.
According to reports reaching here from Tashkent on Saturday, the committee was made up of leaders from the country's powerful departments.
A series of suicide bombings happened on Friday outside the US and Israeli embassies in Tashkent and outside the Uzbekistan prosecutor general's office, killing at least 10 people and injuring tens of others.
Tashkent has since been guarded by Uzbek police and military forces, the Uzbek national TV reported. Government departments, important infrastructures as well as foreign embassies have also been guarded by police in the capital.
According to Interior Ministry officials, Uzbek police have carried out investigations into the blasts and tried to identify the bombers, but so far they have made no arrests.
Meanwhile, Uzbekistan's neighbors Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan stepped up security measures along the borders with Uzbekistan on Friday.
