1.8-mln kw power-generating unit to go into operation within this year
font size

The power-transmitting system from Weinan, Shaanxi province to Shanxi province went into operation on August 4. This means that the power shortage in southern Shanxi will be relieved to some extent.

To alleviate the power shortage, Shanxi province has accelerated the development of power supply. The No 1 power-generating unit of the 3rd phase project for Zhangze Power Plant will go into operation next month, and two generating units with a generating capacity of 300,000 kilowatts will also go into operation at the end of the year. In the meantime, two 300,000-kilowatts generating units of the 2nd phase project for Yushe Power Plant and two in Gujiao Power Plant will put into production too at the end of the year. The power shortage situation in the southeast and central Shanxi will be relieved thoroughly.

At present, the projects of "West-to-East power transmission" in Shanxi province are under intensified construction. It is estimated that there will be 1.8 million kilowatts more power for Shanxi by the end of the year, and the projects will be a big support for inside and outside the province in power supply.
