Uniform expert receives award from Central Military Commission

China's Central Military Commission (CMC) presented an award to Zhang Jianchun, an Army fabrics and uniform expert the First-Class Medal Thursday, for his remarkable achievements in research and innovation of military uniforms.

Jiang Zemin, chairman of the CMC signed a decree to this effect, which was read out at the ceremony to issue the award.

Zhang is a senior engineer of the Logistic Equipment Institute of the General Logistic Department of the Chinese People's Liberation Army.

In the past years, the expert has won 14 national or Army prizes of different levels and owns 30 national patents. Zhang is among the experts who helped work out 15 industrial standards for the Army's national level.
