US confirms its embassy in India closed

In light of security concerns, the Consular (visa) Section and the Department of Homeland Security - Immigration Office at the U.S. Embassy and the Information Resource Center (American Library) at the American Center in New Delhi closed to the public on Thursday. The Delhi police have made special security arrangements around U.S. establishments. The official website of the embassy has stated the emergency telephone number and E-mail Address to U.S. citizens.
