Beijing relieved 8757 tramps and beggars in a year

It's one year already since the official implementation of "Regulations concerning the salvage of homeless tramp and beggars in city" on August 1 of last year. Beijing has relieved a total of 8757 person-times of tramps and beggars, including 580 homeless and helpless children.

As learned from Beijing salvage administration center, there are 19 salvage centers in Beijing currently. The centers in Dongcheng, Xicheng, Chongwen and Xuanwu Districts are "salvage administration consultant center", and do not offer accommodations. The other 14 districts and counties have established salvage centers. Additionally, Beijing Civil Affairs Bureau has set up "Beijing salvage and protection center for juveniles".
