S.Korea Samsung SDI to set up LCD assembly plant in China

South Korea's Samsung SDI Co. will build a mobile-phone liquid crystal display assembly plant in China's northern port city of Tianjin, reported CRIENGLISH.com.

The company currently operates two production plants - in Dongguan, Guangdong Province in China and another in Busan, South Korea.

Construction of the assembly plant, which will have a monthly capacity of two million units, will be completed by year-end.

All of the new plant's employees will be hired locally.
