Chinese prosecutors investigated a total of 21,164 job-related criminal cases in the first half of this year, in which 24,247 suspects were involved, according to an ongoing meeting attended by chief prosecutors from across the country.

Of the total, 713 cases were found involving one million yuan (about 120,000 US dollars) or above, up 6.9 percent over the same period of the previous year. Some 1,690 suspects were officials of county or above levels.

From January to June, prosecutors arrested 380,431 suspects over jeopardizing national security, public security and the socialist market orders and delivered 372,456 to courts for trial, according to the meeting.
