35th Pacific Islands Forum summit held

Pacific island leaders attend the opening ceremony of the 35th Pacific Islands Forum (PIF) summit meeting in Apia, capital of Samoa August 5, 2004. Leaders from the 16-member regional organization have vowed to deepen regional cooperation to meet the challenge of globalization.
