Eleven killed, eight injured in road accident in south China

A bus rolled over into a ravine in south China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region on Saturday, leaving 11 dead and eight others injured by press time.

The bus carrying 19 people was running in Du'an County at about8 a.m. and suddenly fell into a ravine on its halfway to a hill 34kilometers from the destination of Lalie Village. The bus was smashed and 11 people were killed at the scene. Eight others were injured including four were badly hurt.

The injured were hospitalized and the slightly injured have been discharged from hospital. The accident might have been causedby excessive speed, said police.
