Memorial book on late Chinese Marshal published"The Eternal Memory," a memorial book on Marshal Zhu De, one of the founders of China's armed forces, has been published by the Contemporary China Publishing House to mark the 70th anniversary of the Long March by the Red Army. Zhu Heping, author of the book and a grandson of the late marshal of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA), on Sunday promoted the selling of the books with signatures at Xibaipo in Hebei Province, north China. Zhu choose the location because The Communist Party of China was headquartered in Xibaipo in the late 1940s before moving to Beijing. The author, now an officer with the PLA Air Force, lived with his grandfather for 24 years. His book reviews the daily life of the former leader of the Red Army, the Eighth Route Army, and the PLA, in different periods. |
