China Academy of Quality Inspection and Quarantine and Institute Dr. Schrader from Germany have jointly founded a professional testing organization for cosmetics in China, Sino-German Joint Cosmetics Institute.

This institute will apply new testing methodologies for the safety, effectiveness and applicability of cosmetics. It means China's cosmetic testing will be up to the world's standard and change the situation where requirements of foreign markets cannot be met due to inadequate testing techniques.
