Another Turkish truck driver missing in Iraq: report

Another Turkish truck driver was claimed to be missing in Iraq, Anatolia News Agency reported Tuesday.

Haydar Ertas, father of truck driver Ihsan Ertas, was quoted assaying that his son had phoned him three weeks ago and he waskidnapped near Mosul in northern Iraq.

The people who kidnapped his son asked for 700 US dollars ofransom, otherwise they would kill him, Haydar said.He added that he was concerned about the safety of his son andexpected the state to rescue him.

In another development, a Turkish lorry driver who was reportedmissing in Iraq while he was ferrying potable water to US troops,was staying in a prison in Iraq, his company said on Tuesday.Officials from Kilic Nakliyat, a Turkish transportation company,said they had found out that their employee, Ramazan Caparusagi,was imprisoned on charges of involvement in a traffic accident inIraq.
