Greece beat Asian champions China 77-65 in a warm-up match Tuesday in Athens.

The hosts pulled away with a 19-0 run connecting the third and fourth quarter for an unshakable 70-50 lead four minutes and 58 second from the end.

The Chinese women, who finished second to Australia at the Diamond Tournament last week, rotated the players throughout the match.

"It's only a few days away from the Olympics, I want all the players to have a chance to play and do not want anyone to get injured," said Chinese head coach Gong Luming.

The Greeks led most of the first half for a 39-37 advantage after two quarters.

Chen Luyun led China with 15 points in their final warm-up before the Athens Olympics.

China will play South Korea in their first preliminary group match on Saturday.
