Ahmad Chalabi, an Iraqi leading politician, returned to Iraq on Wednesday to face an arrest warrant issued by Iraq's Central Criminal Court over money counterfeiting charges, an aide said.
"Dr. Ahmad is back home in Baghdad. We cannot say anything more," said Haider al-Moussawi, the spokesman for the Iraqi National Congress, which is headed by Chalabi.
On Monday, a judge said that Chalabi should be arrested upon arrival in Iraq to face counterfeiting charges against him.
