font size

Three Vietnamese people died from pneumonia, after being tested positive with virus type A (H5), according to an order of Vietnamese Prime Minster Phan Van Khai on Thursday night.

Khai ordered ministries, agencies, and local authorities to promptly conduct inspections and surveillance of bird flu and avian influenza in humans from the hamlet level.

He also asked the Ministry of Public Health (MPH) to work with the relevant agencies to discover and immediately treat patients with symptoms of avian influenza, and take drastic measures to prevent bird flu from spreading to humans.
