Thai police rescue Laotian, Myanmar women from brothel

Undercover police officers in the southern province of Krabi Thailand rescued 11 Laotian and Myanmar women from a brothel posing as a karaoke bar.

The local newspaper reported Sunday that the nine Laotian women and two Myanmar women, all aged between 18 and 28 years, were rescued on last Friday.

Sairung Ui, the bar owner was charged with running a brothel with the illegal employment of foreign workers.
