Italian fencer Aldo Montano wins men's individual sabre

Italian fencer Aldo Montano defeated Zsolt Nemcsik of Hungary 15-14 to win the men's individual sabre gold medal at the 28th Olympic Games Saturday afternoon.

Nemcsik had to contend with the silver medal.

Vladislav Tretiak of Ukrain finished third by beating Dmitri Lapkes of Belarus.
