DPRK urges US to clarify its stand on nuke issue
font size

A spokesman for the Foreign Ministry of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) Monday accused that the United States' hostile policy destroyed the foundation for the 4th round of six-party talks, making it impossible for the DPRK to go to the forthcoming meeting of the working group.

The spokesman urged the US to clarify its stand to participate in making reward for the DPRK's freeze of nuclear program and showwillingness to give up hostile policy and thus lay down a foundation for negotiations.

Last Wednesday, the two-day informal meeting on Pyongyang's nuclear program was ended in New York without substantial bilateral contract between the US and DPRK, two main parties to the issue.

The closed-door meeting was organized by the National Committeeon American Foreign Policy. Delegates from five participating countries at the six-party talks, China, DPRK, Japan, South Korea and the United States, attended the informal meeting.
