font size

China's first Auli oil power plant has kicked off corporate operation in Zhanjiang recently.

Being the key power project of China, the Zhanjiang Auli Oil Power Plant Project is jointly invested by the Chinese Petroleum Corporation Fuel Co. Ltd., Guangdong Electricity Development Co., Ltd and Zhanjiang Port Group. The first stage receives a total investment of 4.1 bln yuan. The project is expected to put into production in 2006.

The preparatory work for the project began in 2003 and construction started in Nov 2003. The project will serve as a supplement to China's West-East Electric Power Transmission Project and ease lack of power in Guangdong Province.
