China's senior legislator meets Latin American guest

China's senior legislator Uyunqimgmet Tuesday with Pedro Pablo Alvarez, deputy speaker of the Latin-American Parliament and Chamber of Deputies and member of the National Congress of Chile.

The two sides discussed bilateral ties and the new round of World Trade Organization talks and other questions of mutual concern.

They vowed to enhance relations between the National People's Congress of China, the National Congress of Chile and the Latin-American Parliament in a bid to further cooperation between China,Chile and other Latin American countries.

Uyunqimg is vice chairwoman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, China's top legislature.
