The first seven months of the year saw the most robust rise of prices of commercial houses since 1996. According to the monthly report of National Statistics Bureau released on Atugust 19, commercial houses were sold at 2724 yuan per square meter on average and the growth was 12.9 percent over the same period of the last year.

Average prices of commercial houses soared more than 10 percent in 12 regions around the country from January to July. Commercial houses in six areas out of them, including Jiangxi, Gansu and Tianjin, were more expensive by at least 20 percent than they had been the same period a year before.
