Two al-Qaida suspects nabbed in Pakistan

Two foreign nationals suspected to be the al-Qaida militants have been arrested in Peshawar city,capital of Pakistan's Northwest Frontier province bordering Afghanistan.

The Dawn newspaper Friday reported that law enforcement personnel captured the suspects after a car chase and fire exchange Thursday.

The two detainees used grenades during their resistance, said the Dawn, adding that one of the suspects was injured in the raid. Pakistani authorities have been intensifying the hunt for terrorists in the recent past.
