font size

Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao said Friday that the Chinese government will work with the government of Central Africa for the sustainable, stable and sound development of bilateral relations.

Wen told visiting President of Central African Republic Francois Bozize during their meeting that the two countries should promote cooperation in economic and technological fields, and set agriculture, infrastructure and human resources development as the key areas of bilateral cooperation.

"China will continue to encourage its enterprises to invest in Central Africa and participate in its economic construction," Wen said.

The Chinese premier said China appreciates the Central African government's adherence to the one-China policy.

Bozize thanked China for its assistance to his country over the years. He stressed that the government of Central Africa will continue to work with China to create bilateral relations full of vitality.

Chinese President Hu Jintao met with Bozize Thursday, soon after Bozize's arrival in Beijing. Hu made a three-point proposal on boosting bilateral cooperation. The two sides should strengthen political, economic, cultural, educational and medical cooperation, he said.

China is willing to explore cooperation in areas of oil, diamond, iron ore and forestry with the Central African Republic, said the Chinese president.

Besides Beijing, President Bozize will also visit southwest China's Guizhou Province and Shanghai in east China.
