Ethiopian president says cooperation with China further strengthened

Ethiopian President Girma Wolde-Giorgis said on Thursday in Addis Ababa that the bilateral cooperation between Ethiopia and China has further been strengthened.

The president made the remarks here while meeting the departing Chinese Ambassador to Ethiopia Ai Ping, saying the ties between the two peoples has also been further consolidated.

Girma said the cooperation between the two nations particularly in agriculture, economy, social and human resources development sectors has been strengthened over the last couple of years.

The president also expressed appreciation to the efforts exerted by Ai Ping, who would take leave after finishing his tour of duty in Ethiopia, towards the strengthening of the bilateral cooperation and friendly relations between the two countries.

The Chinese ambassador said Ethiopia, who is currently the Chairman of the China-Africa Cooperation, played a prominent role in further enhancing the Sino-African cooperation.
